PRODUCER/EDITOR/DIRECTOR

Tacoma-based Producer of Marketing and Distribution and founder of Nyhuis Creative and the Zion International Film Festival, Laura embodies the phrase “jill-of-all-trades”. She’s currently producing WALK, DON’T RUN: THE STORY OF THE VENTURES. For several years, Laura was the director and programmer for the Tacoma Film Festival, which garnered such praise as being one of MovieMaker Magazine’s “25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World”. Laura is also an experienced film and video editor with close to twenty years of experience.

DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY
Karl is a Seattle-based Cinematographer who’s looking for the stories in life. He has filmed 50+ narrative films and 125+ marketing videos. Karl started his cinematography journey by studying photography for 3 years at the Tacoma School of the Arts. Photography taught him to look for compositions, stories told within a frame, and the drama of lighting. Karl went on to study at Columbus College of Art and Design where he found his passion for the craft and collaboration of filmmaking. During the summer of his junior year at Columbus College, he filmed his first feature-length film “The Village of Middlevale”.

After graduating, Karl joined the team at Pyramide Productions as an Editor and Cinematographer for 5 years. There he had the opportunity to hone his skills for corporate clients like Starbucks, Microsoft, and Expedia. On the weekends Karl would push himself creatively and work with his friends filming narrative projects that got into festivals like HollyShorts, FilmQuest, and Tacoma Film Festival. Karl’s friends and colleagues describe him as calm and graceful.

AUDIO ENGINEER

At a very young age, Brian’s life-long interest in music and sound began after becoming captivated by a friend’s synthesizer. Despite pleas from his junior high music teacher, Brian hung up his saxophone and took up the keyboard instead. Brian’s skills were honed through playing in the church and in various bands, and his first break came at age 18 when a family-friend-turned-filmmaker hired Brian to score a feature-length film. His passion for audio led Brian to The Evergreen State College in Washington State where he studied sound design and audio engineering. Now he has an impressive client list under his belt, including The New York Times, Microsoft, the Seattle Seahawks, and Amazon.

PRODUCER/EDITOR
Raleigh Chadderdon is a commercial film creative, producer, and editor based in Tacoma, WA. A recent transplant from the Midwest, where he spent nine years as the Co-Founder and Producer for SideCar Studios in Grand Rapids, MI. Raleigh spent his formative years growing up in Hong Kong, recording skateboarding videos and eating absolutely everything. His passions in story-telling are often focused on the arts, disability access, and equity issues across the board. In his free time he enjoys cooking, van camping with his dog, and watching movies with low Tomatometer scores.

PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

Best known as Santi, Mr. Hernandez is a Colombian producer, marketing strategist, and creative writer based in Tacoma, WA. One of the short films he produced (Cuestarribai, 2016) was nominated at two film festivals in Colombia. He has worked on commercials videos and as part of a live broadcast program that was watched by over 15,000 people daily. He supported the Congress of the Republic of Colombia by authoring social media campaigns and website articles, presenting voting metrics, and filming key interviews and speeches at senate sessions.
